Gemini Advanced has officially launched and is accessible through Google's new Google One AI Premium subscription tier. This service is initially available in English across more than 150 countries and territories, with Google planning to expand support to additional languages over time. This premium experience is powered by Google's most capable publicly available AI model, Ultra 1.0, which is designed to excel at highly complex tasks such as coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions, and creative collaboration.

Priced at $19.99 per month (often launching with an introductory free trial, like two months), the Google One AI Premium plan bundles Gemini Advanced access with all the existing benefits of the standard Google One Premium tier, notably 2TB of cloud storage. Furthermore, subscribers are slated to gain the ability to use Gemini directly within Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and more in the near future (availability may vary).

Access to Gemini Advanced is provided across Android and iOS devices. Android users can access Gemini through a new dedicated app (which often replaces standard Google Assistant functionality). For iOS users, Gemini access is integrated directly into the main Google app, typically via a dedicated Gemini tab, with this integration rolling out progressively following the initial launch. While initially launched in English, Google plans to expand availability to more locations and languages, including Japanese and Korean, subsequently.

Google emphasized that Gemini Advanced underwent extensive trust and safety reviews prior to its public release, including external red-teaming efforts. These measures were implemented to mitigate potential issues, such as the generation of unsafe content or the exhibition of bias, ensuring the rollout aligns with Google's established AI Principles and commitment to responsible AI development.
